North Reading Mosquito Spraying Wraps as Route 62 Work Continues

The town enters a busy close-of-week stretch with two back-to-back virtual meetings on the calendar, even as the past 24-48 hours produced no major announcements from Town Hall, the schools, or the library.

TOWN HALL

The town's News Flash feed was quiet in the immediate coverage window, though the homepage does carry a handful of still-active notices worth flagging for residents. East Middlesex Mosquito Control carried out truck-mounted aerosol treatment in the area on June 23, and road work on Route 62 (Elm Street) that launched Sunday night, June 21, is ongoing. Residents who have not yet signed up for the town's emergency-alert service, Smart911, are encouraged to do so through the town's website at northreadingma.gov.

COMING UP

Two virtual meetings are scheduled for Thursday, June 25: the Board of Health convenes and the Select Board holds its own session the same evening. The Select Board meets again virtually on Friday, June 26. Residents can find agenda details and call-in information on the town calendar at northreadingma.gov/Calendar.aspx.
